Our Mission
While working for large, international point-of-sale solution providers, we were frustrated with our inability to provide solutions to small and mid-sized retail chains because POS technology was either too expensive at the time or because a cost-effective service and support mechanism was not available at that level of the industry. So when we formed Tri-City Retail Systems, we based our company's foundation on the following mission statement:

Tri-City Retail Systems organizes 2006 Technology Seminar

As part of its plan for continued growth and development, Tri-City Retail Systems has decided to offer various events and seminars that will benefit retail merchants across Ontario. As part of the regional business tradeshow in September, Tri-City Retail Systems organized a technology seminar outlining the latest developments in retail technology and offered this event free to local merchants. Avenues such as this event offer local businesses information about affordable technologies that can dramatically improve the efficiency of their retail operations. The event was a success and Tri-City Retail Systems plans to take the concept to other cities in Southern Ontario in the coming year. Tri-City Retail Systems also plans to offer future events, such as consumer panels and industry tradeshows, which will provide the opportunity to share retail technology solutions with businesses throughout the country.
Tri-City Retail Systems grows again!

Over the past few months, Tri-City Retail Systems has seen major changes around the office. New faces as well as a new location are a direct result of the continued growth of the company. Tri-City Retail Opens Detroit Office
September 1, 2005, Southfield, Michigan
In an effort to expand operations and to provide better support for their US customer base, Tri-City Retail Systems today announced the opening of their first satellite office in the United States. The new office, located in Southfield, Michigan, will enable Tri-City Retail Systems to extend their marketing efforts into the Greater Detroit Area, a marketplace where the Microsoft Business Solutions retail product line is not well known. "We are thrilled that Tri-City Retail Systems will be representing our retail product line in the Greater Detroit Area," said Mark Campolieto, Central Region Sales Manager for Microsoft Business Solutions. When asked why they chose Detroit for their first satellite office, Michael Steg, Director of Sales & Marketing for Tri-City Retail Systems said "within 3 hours driving time from our head office in Kitchener, we have access to thousands of retail companies servicing a population of 4 million people throughout the Greater Detroit Area. In addition, our research tells us that the area is greatly underserviced by professional retail system vendors. Opening our first office in the Greater Detroit Area is a natural progression for us."
Tri-City Retail Systems Earns President's Club Status

Microsoft Corporation announced today that Tri-City Retail Systems has been awarded the Microsoft Business Solutions President's Club status for second year in a row. "Maintaining our status as a President's Club member is a key strategy for our company" said Heidi Stieh, Director Technical Services for Tri-City Retail Systems. "It underlies our commitment to the Microsoft Retail Management System product line and it helps us differentiate ourselves from other RMS resellers that don't really understand retailers' needs." Less than 200 of the 6000 Microsoft Partners worldwide qualify for President's Club status. Tri-City Retail Systems is the only dedicated RMS reseller in Canada that is a member of this elite group of Microsoft Partners.
Tri-City Retail Systems Provides Canadian Debit Interface for RMS
April 30, 2005, Toronto, Ontario
TD Canada Trust announces a new product called the RMS-TD Bridge, designed specifically for retail merchants using the Microsoft Retail Management System software program (RMS.) Developed by Tri-City Retail Systems of Kitchener, Ontario, the RMS-TD Bridge program uses a secure internet connection to enable RMS users to process credit cards and debit cards seamlessly from their POS module. "As of right now, if you are a Microsoft RMS user, you can obtain the RMS-TD Bridge absolutely free even if you don't bank with TD," said Robert Hayhow, Manager of Point Of Sale Solutions for the Merchant Services division of TD Canada Trust. "It will enable your POS terminal to authorize and process credit cards and PIN-based debit cards via a standard internet connection and deposit the funds into your account automatically," "The RMS-TD Bridge program provides faster throughput at the Point Of Sale, with 3 to 4 second response times over a high-speed internet connection and it allows merchants to get rid of their separate bank terminals or phone lines. The net savings, even for the smallest retailer, is significant," said Hayhow.

Tri-City Retail Systems Earns President's Club Status

Tri-City Retail Systems Joins RMS Advisory Council
October 20, 2003, New Orleans, Louisiana
As part of an initiative to continually improve the Retail Management System product, Microsoft forms a committee called the RMS Partner Advisory Council (PAC) to discuss and plan the future direction of RMS. The council is comprised of key individuals at Microsoft that control the development, marketing and support strategy of the product. In addition, a select number of key resellers, or "Partners," from around the world are also invited to attend the semi-annual meetings. Tri-City Retail Systems is the only Canadian member of the council.
