Microsoft Dynamics™ Retail Management System is an enterprise-wide retail management solution designed to deliver reliability, scalability and flexibility, but at a cost-effective budget level that reflects the size of your retail company. 


Pricing for Microsoft Dynamics RMS is based on the number of stores in your chain and the number of POS lanes in your stores. This pricing model ensures that your license costs always stay in line with the size of your retail operation. Microsoft Dynamics RMS is comprised of two separate and distinct programs: Microsoft Dynamics RMS Store Operations and Microsoft Dynamics RMS Headquarters.  The following is a brief description of both applications.

 

Headquarters
Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System Headquarters is a head office application that provides timely, accurate visibility into every operational aspect of your retail business.  RMS Headquarters monitors each store and warehouse and provides up-to-date information in a “near real-time” basis that keeps you in control of your business.  RMS Headquarters rolls up data from Microsoft Dynamics RMS Store Operations so that inventories, financial transactions, sales data, and other information can reside in a central database. It helps you analyze sales and performance data for business planning and helps you manage your pricing, purchasing, and inventory across multiple locations and regions.

 

Microsoft Dynamics RMS Headquarters can be integrated with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains Financial Accounting software as well as other third party ERP and financial management applications.  The built-in integration between Microsoft Dynamics RMS and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains facilitates centralized accounting across multiple stores and locations. Sales information can be automatically imported into the Microsoft Great Plains General Ledger, including total sales (or total sales by each department), tax breakdowns, commissions, and tender specific totals. Retailers can also directly import items, suppliers, and received purchase orders from Headquarters into Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, enabling Great Plains users to post the receiving documents and create A/P vouchers directly from RMS data.

 

Store Operations

Microsoft Dynamics™ RMS Store Operations is the software program that resides in each of your retail locations.  This rock-solid reliable application has a simple user interface, coupled with the integrated debit and credit card processing capabilities ensuring maximum customer service levels at the points of sale.  Store managers can run reports to help them improve efficiencies and profitability by keeping track of inventory, employees and customers and then share this information back with head office.
